General
If you’re experiencing emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy can help. It’s for anyone seeking personal growth or support through life’s challenges. A free consultation can help determine if we’re a good fit.
The first session is about getting to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and your history. I’ll explain how I work and answer any questions. It’s a collaborative process—you’re in the driver’s seat.
This varies depending on your goals and concerns. Some people benefit from short-term work (8-12 sessions), while others prefer longer-term therapy. We’ll regularly check in about your progress and adjust as needed.
Sessions & Scheduling
Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum. As you progress, we may move to bi-weekly or monthly sessions. The frequency is tailored to your needs and goals.
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. Couples sessions are 75-90 minutes to allow adequate time for both partners to be heard and for meaningful work to happen.
I understand that life happens. I request 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid a cancellation fee. Emergency situations are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Confidentiality & Privacy
Yes, with very limited exceptions required by law (imminent danger to self or others, child/elder abuse, court orders). I take your privacy seriously and will explain confidentiality thoroughly at our first session.
Only with your written consent. In couples therapy, I maintain a ‘no secrets’ policy, meaning I won’t keep individual secrets that impact the relationship. This is discussed before we begin.
Sex Therapy Specific
Sex therapy is talk therapy—there is no physical contact or sexual activity. We discuss concerns, provide education, and develop strategies for improving your sexual well-being. It’s professional, respectful, and evidence-based.
Not necessarily. While couples often benefit from attending together, individual sex therapy can be highly effective for personal concerns, whether you’re in a relationship or not.
Absolutely. Most people feel some discomfort initially—it’s a vulnerable topic. Part of my training is creating a safe, non-judgmental space where these conversations become easier over time.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don't have to do it alone. Schedule a free consultation to discuss your needs and see if we're a good fit.
