What to Expect
The Process
Start with a free 15-minute phone or video call. We'll discuss your concerns, answer your questions, and see if we're a good fit for working together.
Before your first session, you'll receive secure online forms to complete. These help me understand your history and goals so we can make the most of our time together.
This is where we dive deeper. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, establish goals, and begin building our therapeutic relationship. There's no pressure—we go at your pace.
Common Concerns
That’s completely normal. I’ll guide our conversation with questions and prompts. You don’t need to have everything figured out—that’s what we’re here to explore together.
Emotions are welcome here. Crying is a normal part of the therapeutic process, and I always have tissues ready. There’s no judgment—only support.
My role is to understand, not to judge. I’ve worked with people on a wide range of issues, and I approach everyone with compassion and respect.
Therapy is a collaborative process. If something isn’t working, we’ll talk about it and adjust our approach. Your feedback is essential to the process.
Your First Session
What Happens After the First Session?
After your first session, we’ll typically meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs and schedule. Each session builds on the last as we work toward your goals.
Therapy isn’t always linear—there will be breakthroughs and challenging moments. I’ll be with you through it all, adjusting our approach as needed to ensure you’re getting the support you need.
Periodically, we’ll check in on your progress and goals, making adjustments as you grow and change. The pace is always up to you.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don't have to do it alone. Schedule a free consultation to discuss your needs and see if we're a good fit.
